Baptism Service

Baptism (Christening) “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” (Mt. 28:19). And Peter said to them, “Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of the Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit”
(Acts. 2:38).

“And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ” (Acts. 10:48).

The day of Baptism is a day for the whole family to celebrate! For your child, Baptism is the day in which she/he is reborn in Christ Our Savior. Baptism is the first step in initiation into the sacramental life of faith.

St. Gabriel Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church of San Diego provides christening service. Christening service is provided before the Mass service on Sundays starting 06:00A.M.
